Kody Fry (Grand Valley/) has been named the Pioneer Energy OUA athlete of the week for his incredible two rounds of golf to claim top sport at the Waterloo/Laurier Invitational.

In only his second OUA competion, the rookie golfer was sensational capturing the individual gold  at Waterloo's 36-hole invitational, played at Whistle Bear and Grey Silo. Fry shot an even-par 72 at Whistle Bear on the opening day and followed it up with an astounding 5-under, 66 on Sunday at Grey Silo.

His day two performance is the third lowest score in team history. The Grand Valley, Ont. native was able to oust four RCGA all-Canadian golfers in the field en route to his first title as a Waterloo Warrior.
